The Azuki Bean is a small, burgundy-coloured Asian legume, also known as aduki or adzuki bean. It’s prized for its sweet, nutty flavour and is a staple in many traditional East Asian dishes, particularly in desserts and soups.
Organic Adzuki Beans
Rinse 1 cup of beans and soak in boiling water for 6 hours. Drain and discard soaking water. Add 4 cups of fresh water and simmer over low heat until tender, about 2–2½ hours.
Azuki beans are commonly used to make red bean paste for steamed buns, dumplings, and sweet cakes. They’re also delicious in soups, stews, and salads.
