Textured Soy Protein (TSP), also known as Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP), is a fibrous, golden-brown product made from defatted soy flour. It mimics the texture of ground meat and has a pleasant, nutty flavour.
Textured Soy Protein Concentrate
Add ⅞ cup boiling water to 1 cup TSP, stir, and let soak for 10 minutes. Drain and season. Use as a meat alternative in tacos, casseroles, pasta sauces, or stir-fries. It can also be sprinkled on salads or cereals.

[AMAZON] This is so easy to use to add into vegetarian soups, stews and chili. Boosts the protein content and makes it so much heartier and filling. I add a bit of water to whatever I'm adding it into, then let it sit for around 30 minutes, to absorb some of the broth or liquid. Then it's ready to heat and serve.
[AMAZON] I got this to use in granola to bump up the protein content and add more crunch and it worked out beautifully for that. Will likely use it to do veg ground round at some point too. Glad to find a Canadian alternative to Bob's Red Mill TVP
