Organic Hulled Millet consists of small, round yellow grains with a subtly sweet, nutty flavour. Naturally gluten-free, it is high in fiber, iron, and protein. Millet thrives in dry climates and has been a staple grain for thousands of years.
Organic Millet
Rinse 1 cup of millet. Add to 2 cups of boiling water, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes or until tender. For a creamier porridge, add more water and stir frequently.
Toasting before cooking enhances the nutty aroma. Use as a side dish, in porridge, or to replace rice or quinoa. Add whole or cracked millet to breads and muffins for added texture.
